Circular No. 52 / 2013                                                                                 Dated-31.05.2013

To,

All the State Secretaries
State Association of
The Bharat Scouts & Guides
INDIAN UNION

Sub: - 9th Asia – Pacific Regional Air/ Internet Jamboree on 03rd & 04th August 2013.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that the Asia – Pacific Region of WOSM is organizing the 9th Asia – Pacific Regional Air/ Internet Jamboree, which is being hosted by Bharat Scouts & Guides, India on 03rd & 04th August 2013.

The Air-Internet Jamboree is a regional event established in 2004 in which Scouts & Guides contact each other by means of Amateur Radio and through the Internet. Having a live conversation with a fellow Scouts & Guides in some other place in the world gives the same excitement like having a normal Jamboree on the land. Just like the normal Jamboree, the Air-Internet Jamboree is also an event during which Scouting & Guiding experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared. It’s great and unique opportunity for Scouts & Guides of all age ranges to communicate with each other as if they are nearby when in actual fact they are all in their own countries. Indeed, Radio Scouting & Guiding eliminates the distances and fosters a closer relationship of the worldwide Scouting & Guiding movement.

Furthermore, State Associations are requested to appoint a Coordinator for this APR Air/Internet Jamboree, preferably the person-in-charge of information communication technology, who will be the focal contact person of the Jamboree organizers and the WSB-APR office.

Once you have named the Coordinator, kindly send his/her name and contact details to Bharat Scouts & Guides at tbsgnet@del2.vsnl.net.in
